If dogs could speak, these K-9 cops would sing the praises of K-9 Officers.

Based in Katy, Texas, K-9 Officers is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports police departments and law enforcement officers by raising funds and donating trained police K-9’s and service dogs to area police departments in need. K-9 Officers also provides expert handler training for officers receiving the dog.

Founders Shannon and Rocky Smith had been personally donating dogs to area police departments and law enforcement since 2002. By 2013, when it became clear that area needs were “greater than what we could do,” she said, “we began K-9 Officers to help meet the needs and requests of the many departments.”

The Smiths officially founded K-9 Officers in March 2013. That same month, they placed their first order with LogoUp and have placed more than a dozen orders since then.

All along, the hope was to spread the word and raise public awareness of the organization. It’s worked. Today, the organization’s board members, supporters and volunteers work tirelessly to support the mission – and they still wear the apparel.

“Working with LogoUp has been easy,” said Shannon Smith, who has a few simple tips to successfully ordering logo apparel. “You need to allow for a reasonable amount of time to have a customized product. It doesn’t happen overnight. There are many options, so you have to be open and listen to the voice of those who will be wearing your logo. The more their wear it, the more your logo will be seen by others.”

“By having people wear our logo,” she continued, “it increases awareness of our mission to help those departments who need a K-9.”
